Papa Bear:
Until naturalist and author of Among
the Bears, Ben Kilham, began raising orphaned bear cubs
in the wild, no one was able to stay close enough to document
their forest-hidden lives. Of the dozens of cubs Ben has
raised and filmed, Squirty and Yoda have allowed him an
especially clear window into their world. One of the surprises
these two have revealed is the fact that black bear individuals
have such distinct personalities, which provides an astonishing
survival advantage - allowing some bears to live while others
die. Join Ben, Yoda and Squirty in the most intimate, illuminating
journey ever filmed among wild black bears. 50 minutes.
