Myth Buster

Lily the Black Bear Bears don’t defecate, urinate, drink or eat during hibernation. Contrary to what we’ve thought for years, this is not entirely true. Bears sometimes do get up and eat whatever might be available, drink (even if it’s only snow), defecate and urinate.
